What to know before your first beta call.
Can I use TolkLine outside Zoom or Teams?
Often yes. If the app lets you choose a microphone and TolkLine can capture the call audio, it is a candidate for beta testing.
Does TolkLine store raw meeting audio?
Raw meeting audio is not stored by default. Transcript saving is controlled by you, and the beta policy explains the intended data flow.
Is the beta ready for public download?
Not yet. Private beta installers will go out in small batches while we test real meetings, compatibility, and reliability.
How much delay should I expect?
Delay depends on speech length, network quality, and AI services. The beta is tuned for short meeting turns, but important calls should be tested first.
Do I need to change meeting apps?
No. TolkLine is meant to sit beside your existing meeting app and work through audio routing plus TolkLine Microphone.
Can it work for game voice chat or casual voice rooms?
Often yes, if the app allows microphone selection and TolkLine can capture the call audio. The most requested apps will be prioritized during beta.

- TolkLine is designed to process meeting audio only to provide transcription, translation, and speech output. Raw meeting audio is not stored by default.
- Users may choose to save transcripts locally on their device. Cloud transcript storage, if added later, should be opt-in and tied to account-level controls.
- Audio and text snippets may be sent to ASR, LLM, and TTS providers only as needed to deliver the requested feature. Provider choices may change as the service evolves.
